LACI is creating an inclusive green economy – this means ensuring that everyone can benefit from the green economy, either from green jobs, clean air or accessing new zero emissions mobility or energy solutions.
As part of our work in Enhancing Communities, we created programming to intentionally recruit more diverse entrepreneurs, including female founders, people of color, LGBTQ+, and veterans into our cleantech ecosystem.
We are also building out a more diverse workforce pipeline via middle and high school field trips to La Kretz Innovation Campus (LKIC) to introduce youth to career opportunities in the cleantech sector. We have also launched workforce development programs like our Advanced Prototyping Center (APC) Fellowship to provide participants from underrepresented groups with technical training, interpersonal skills, and industry-recognized credentials to thrive in the green economy.
