Zubin’s background is a combination of building businesses from scratch and scaling technology organizations. He launched his first startup while an undergrad and helped launch a mobile microfinance startup thereafter. Zubin’s 5+ years at Google began in Global Marketing after which he helped scale Alphabet startup, Google Fiber, to deliver affordable, high-speed internet to all Americans. He now leads Global Business Development & Strategy supporting Google’s emerging marketplace offerings, particularly focused on millions of small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Earlier, he was a Marketing & Operating leader at Red Bull North America, overseeing teams in NYC, and then on a national level in Canada.

He also had stints in public service; first by invitation to serve the U.S. Ambassador to Spain at the U.S. Embassy while at the State Department, and then for LA Mayor Eric Garcetti, supporting his Chief Data & Innovation Officer to expand technology-enabled economic opportunity to all demographics in the City of LA. He has built global experience, living & working in Silicon Valley, NYC, Toronto, Madrid, Shanghai & now resides in Los Angeles. He holds a BA & MBA from UCLA, where he serves on the Alumni Board of Directors’ Executive Committee. At a moment when public service and civic engagement are paramount, it was time to step up and more actively serve his community. These core motivators, service and impact, drive his actions; they also drive him to serve the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator.
