Brett Hauser is a renowned advanced mobility expert who has been instrumental in shaping the global electric transportation industry. Today, he is harnessing private capital to unlock growth in the zero-emission vehicle, infrastructure, energy, and fleet sectors, guided by decades of experience profitably solving the world’s most pressing environmental challenges. He recently became an Operating Partner at Partners Group, one of the largest private market investment managers, with over $92 billion in assets under management globally.
Prior to Partners Group, Brett was the CEO of Greenlots, where he transformed a small electric scooter business into a global provider of turnkey smart charging solutions for electric vehicles. Under his leadership, Greenlots forged partnerships with General Motors, Ford, BMW, Kia, Southern California Edison, National Grid, Avista, and Southern Company, and the company was selected by Electrify America to deploy up to 5,000 fast chargers in cities across the United States. Brett also led the company through multiple funding rounds and the successful acquisition by Royal Dutch Shell.
Brett’s investment acumen is built on a foundation of his C-suite leadership, financial sector management, and a values-driven approach that centers on sustainable business and environmental practices. His experience includes scaling two start-ups into global e-mobility players, defining international charging standards, developing infrastructure projects totaling more than $2 billion, and delivering outsized returns for technology fund investors in telematics, telecommunications, natural resources, and manufacturing.
Brett currently sits on Ceres’ President’s Council, where he works to advance sustainability among investors, companies and capital market influencers. He is also a board member emeritus for the Alliance for Electric Transportation and serves as an Executive Council member for the McCombs Energy Initiative at his alma mater, the University of Texas at Austin.
