VP Marketing & Communications

The Vice President of Marketing & Communications works closely with the CEO and COO on vision, priorities, and core messaging while leading a team to develop and execute plans, campaigns, and tactics to attract applicants to LACI’s programs, share LACI’s stories, and build LACI’s thought leadership. An experienced and proactive marketing and communications leader, this position manages staff, consultants, and projects while ensuring excellent internal customer service that balances deadlines & workload of the team. This role is a collaborator who can also toggle between developing a social media campaign, drafting a press release, planning and executing an event or devising and pitching a story earned media.

Events Director

The Events Director leads the planning, production, and strategy for all events associated with LACI, including third-party rentals, campus events, and programmatic events. This role is responsible for creating an outstanding event experience for stakeholders, partners, and the broader LACI and La Kretz Innovation Campus (LKIC) community, while also managing operational logistics, space use, and event revenue opportunities. Reporting to the VP, Marketing & Communications, the Events Director manages and mentors the Marketing & Events Coordinator, ensuring the team delivers high-quality events that reflect the values and advance the mission of LACI and LKIC. This position leads strategy and operations for LACI’s third-party space rental program and collaborates cross-functionally with the Campus Management team and the Development team, among others. The position also leads events strategy for the BATWorks program in New York City in collaboration with the SVP of BATWorks.

Portfolio Services Associate

The Portfolio Associate is responsible for monitoring the portfolio and its operations, performing relevant data and market analysis, assisting with requests from LACI portfolio companies, and proactively identifying opportunities to generate alignment between LACI portfolio companies and other internal and external stakeholders at LACI. LACI’s founder-facing programming covers a continuum of support for its startups to support our mission of creating an inclusive green economy, and it’s the job of the Portfolio Services Associate to ensure that startups have the tools they need to scale and contribute to our mission. This is a cross-functional role that will report to the Director of Incubation Services, but will work closely with the VP of Investments.

SVP Market Transformation

The SVP Market Transformation leads the Market Transformation (MT) department, one of LACI’s three organizational pillars, which helps to create an inclusive green economy in the greater Los Angeles region and beyond through cross-sectoral partnerships, research, public policies, and innovative pilot projects.
