Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to building a clean energy future for India. India’s solar and wind programs have already catalyzed remarkable growth. In just four years, India’s solar market has grown more than a hundredfold, exceeding 3 GW of installed solar energy. With 250 GW of total installed energy currently and a need for much more power, scaling up solar and wind energy projects is a win-win strategy.

Water scarcity is a major issue in India. The nation’s population is expected to swell to 1.6B by 2050. The Modi government has committed to making water security a national priority. This new emphasis will also present the need for massive investments in infrastructure which will present tremendous business opportunities as well.

A panel of experts will discuss the business opportunities that these large scale initiatives present at “The U.S.-India Cleantech Opportunity Workshop.”
