LACI’s Power Day is a celebration of California’s clean energy ecosystem and brings together LACI Incubation Program startups, policymakers, industry leaders and advocates to discuss the latest advancements and barriers in the clean energy sector. Join us as we showcase our latest cohort of startup companies and highlight their milestones and contributions to clean technology solutions and pilots providing social, economic and environmental benefits throughout the greater Los Angeles region.

This year, Power Day will focus on the newest clean energy initiative for LACI and our partners – developing a large virtual power plant in the Greater Los Angeles Region.

We hope you will participate in this power-packed showcase of progress toward our shared priority areas in clean energy, zero emissions transportation, and sustainable cities.

Jigar Shah currently serves as the Director of the Loan Programs Office for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). He was most recently co-founder and President at Generate Capital, where he focused on helping entrepreneurs accelerate decarbonization solutions through the use of low-cost infrastructure-as-a service financing. Prior to Generate Capital, Shah founded SunEdison, a company that pioneered “pay as you save” solar financing. After SunEdison, Shah served as the founding CEO of the Carbon War Room, a global non-profit founded by Sir Richard Branson and Virgin Unite to help entrepreneurs address climate change.
