Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI) and New Energy Nexus present the semifinals of the 2019 California Climate Cup, sponsored by Volvo Group and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP)! The pitch competition features the most innovative and promising global startups in clean energy, the energy/transportation nexus and zero emissions transportation.
This exciting event is the first of a three-day, three-city tour. Semifinalists will go on to pitch to corporate partners and venture capitalists in San Francisco and then to California political leaders in Sacramento, where we’ll announce the winner of the $25,000 grand prize.
Judges include Kojo Ako-Asare (Director of Investments, Emerson Elemental), Vaughn Blake (Strategic Partner, Blue Bear Capital), Michael Campos (ARPA-E Fellow, Advanced Research Projects Agency – Energy), Jenny Elfsberg (Director Innovation Lab Hub US, Volvo Group), Ugwem I. Eneyo (Co-founder and CEO, Solstice Energy Solutions – and our 2018 California Climate Cup Grand Prize Winner!), and Alekso Stankoski (Vice President, Business Development & Strategy, ENGIE Services U.S. Inc.).
Advance RSVP is required for attendance. Coffee and light snacks will be provided, with a reception to follow.
