La Kretz Innovation Campus and Advanced Prototyping Center

The La Kretz Innovation Campus, Los Angeles’ new cleantech innovation hub, is a place where entrepreneurs, engineers, environmental organizations, and policymakers can collaborate, promote and support the development of clean technologies and LA’s green economy. In addition to being home to the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI) and an ecosystem of thought leaders, the Campus features 30,000 sq.ft. of office and event space along with the region’s highest caliber Advanced Prototyping Center (APC) where members can design, build, test, certify and manufacture products all under one roof. Features include an electronics lab, chemistry lab, cell lab, CNC center, water jet center, welding shop, 3D printing shop, use of premium CAD software, laser cutters, woodworking, an assembly bay, training centers and more.

Position Summary

We need an energetic and engaging individual to assist with managing the member community for the La Kretz Innovation Campus and Advanced Prototyping Center. As the Community Coordinator, you will help manage the community centered around the Campus, lead the charge in developing the pipeline of and on-boarding new members to the LACI community. You will also get to work with the the local community to identify mentors, advisors, and subject matter experts interested in contributing their knowledge and skills to LACI. You will work alongside our incubator leadership in developing both physical and digital strategies for building the Campus community and LA’s innovation ecosystem, including: social media strategy, branding, content generation, and event planning.


  • Developing a pipeline of community members by promoting the Campus and APC through events, campus community, local community, meet-ups, conferences, and technical trade shows/meetings
  • Ownership of development pipeline for new members, reporting, intake workflow and adherence
  • Provide customer service to LKIC and APC members to meet all their needs
  • Leading tours and promoting in-house demos
  • Highlighting and promoting case studies and success stories
  • Work with Marcom team to elevate brand awareness and promote the APC through public relations strategies, social media content development and distribution, blogger and influencer outreach, newsletters, crowdsourcing and events
  • Communicating user/membership feedback. Work in collaboration with LACI leadership to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Identification and lead generation of prospective volunteers through the volunteering program for future semester opportunities
  • Facilitating workshops, events, and training between existing corporate sponsors and community members to ensure engaged community
  • Assist with community feedback via online platform to capture opportunities for improvement to maximize safety, creativity and happiness
  • Implementing systems for safety, security, and general front desk operations while capturing constructive feedback for continuous improvement
  • Community representative and support for campus community and equipment events
  • Participate in weekly team meetings
  • Integrate solutions, content and systems to enhance the productivity and creativity associated with the La Kretz Innovation Campus operations
  • Other Duties as assigned
